Thursday, October 1st.

Second day of Paris fashion week was really promising: Balmain and Balenciaga to watch. Id need a few days to write all the concern Decarnin has caused these days with his latest collection, but Ill try to sum up what i've read around and my opinion. In brief, we all agree since last year Balmain is overpriced -a single one of his jackets cost around $9,000- but we have to agree his influence has been huge aswell, it's visible in almost every chain store, celebrities and fashion editors have worn drummer boy jackets and jewel sandals. In TFS I could read about his spring collection stuff like "trashy", "expensive mess", "the next rodarte" -you kidding me?- "Jane Post-Tarzan"-this one made me laugh-. I dont think any of the girls looked trashy in the runway, yes its overpriced but ... those jackets worth it!!!!! We all had high expectations on this show but its really hard to exceed his latest two collections, however you can recognise his signature. About the new jackets .... well Id pay the cost for them. Anyway, we'll see what streets says in spring. And Decarnin is still my #1

At the Hôtel de Crillon, Ghesquière decided the world has enough cocktail wear and came up with futuristic technique and art craftsmanship. Highly structured paneled leather vest; skinny, vertically patchworked jeans; complex tanks; and sporty kilts. Balenciaga est unique.

Friday, October 2nd.
Christian Dior, Isabel Marant and Lanvin under the spotlight. Provocative, smoldering femme fatale with red lips.... Its forties film noir theme according to Galliano, the genius #2 -sorry, the first one is Marc- Some lovely pieces at Isabel Marant and totally gorgeous and classy -as always- Lanvin.

Saturday, October 3rd.

If anyone ever doubted fashion can be an art.... Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren proove them wrong. Yup, V&R. During this saturday we could also enjoy the cone-bra corset by Jean Paul Gaultier and the know-how of Loewe when its about leather. By the way, what with Comme Des Garçons and that green hair?... what a joke, I refuse to put any pics.

Sunday, October 4th.
Many interesting shows to watch on sunday. I really liked Sonia Rykiel, vintage-Rykiel in a dance club with disco balls and silver confetti-covered floors. And there goes another genius, Im more and more in love with Givenchy after each collection of Tisci I see. Im just in love with that geometrically striped black and white jersey.

Monday, October 5th.

To start the new week, Stella McCartney and Yves Saint Laurent. Ive never been a fan of her, but in general I loved how uncomplicated, colorfull and young the collection was. About YSL, a natural and honest chic, new minimalism.

Tuesday, October 6th.
Im worried. Really worried. Since when Chanel goes mixed with hay? ... and what worries me the most, will clogs be fashionable again? If there's a just and loving God, he wont allow this to happen. Beyond that, I think no one could replace the Kaiser in Chanel, I mean if you can keep your eyes off the rustic runway, you will see Chanel' soul in every single piece -except the clogs, dont look at the clogs please-.

Alexander McQueen has caused a lot of concern aswell. The models came out, dressed in short, reptile-patterned, digitally printed dresses but everybody's eyes went straight to the shoes, grotesque shoes.... dangerous shoes Id dare to say. Jugde yourself.

Wednesday, October 7th.
On one hand, magic floating bubbles, laser-lit runway.... John Galliano knows how to make you feel in a theatre. On the other hand, the genuine Jacobs. Ive heard the begining of the Louis Vuitton show was a bit ... uhm lets say messed up, but we already know the amazing relationship between punctuality and Marc. Giant Afro wigs, brocade cycling shorts and the LV logo doesnt seem to be enough this time. So-So.

Milan Fashion Week: Dsquared2

So... where do I have to sign to become a member of Dean and Dan Caten's fan club? For the upcoming season they came up with Glamping -Glam+Camping- God, I love them... Are you wondering whats the most fashionable? Steal your boyfriend's baseball cap and get your socks to keep your feet warm in your high heels!

The blackberry and Starbucks' coffees we saw in F/W 09 have been replaced by band-aids and beers. Cutoff shorts, tees, denim, and leather platform booties... lets get plastic and shiny! Thats just Dsquared2... and I effin love it.

Bueno dónde hay que firmar para convertise en fan de Dean y Dan Caten? Para la temporada que viene aparecen con Glampling -Glam+Camping- Los amo. Quieres saber que es lo más? Robarle a tu novio su gorra de baseball y coger tus calcetines para tener los pies calentitos en tus tacones!

Las blackberries y los cafés de Starbucks que vimos en O/I 09 han sido sustituidos por tiritas y cervezas. Shorts cortados, camisetas, denim y botines de piel y plataforma.... todo plástico y brillante! Eso es simplemente Dsquared2...y me encanta.

Milan Fashion Week: Prada & Versace

I guess Prada is to Milan what Chanel is to Paris. Although I wouldnt dare to compare Miuccia with Coco, but... neoprene? -are you serious?- Yes! Neoprene coats, shorts cut out with no pattern followed, rouge lips and ponytails. Business to beach with "see through" plastic bags and sandals. And Lil' Mama on the soundtrack -are you serious?- Yes.

Supongo que Prada es a Milán lo que Chanel a París. Aunque yo no me atrevería a comparar a Miuccia con Coco, pero... neopreno? -¿en serio?- Si! Abrigos de neopreno, pantalones cortos cortados a la virulé, labios rouge y coletas. El ejecutivo llevado a la playa con bolsos y sandalias de plástico transparente. Y Lil' Mama de banda sonora -¿en serio?- Si.

Versace is not what is used to be when Gianni was alive. The glamorous sluts have turned from true women to dolls. But still glamorous, still slutty, maybe a little less fierce but is still Versace. Its Donatella. Its Alice in Wonderland. Pastels colours, polka dots, mini and really tight.

Versace no es lo que era cuando Gianni estaba vivo. Las glamurosas p***s han pasado de mujeres reales a muñequitas. Pero siguen siendo glamurosas, siguen siendo p***s, quizás con menos intensidad... pero sigue siendo Versace. Es Donatella. Es Alicia en el país de las maravillas. Colores pasteles, lunares, mini y muy ceñido.

Fashion Week: Milan

Milan was just so crazy that I dont even know where to start. Im not gonna do a huge review.... watch it yourselves guys! Because it really worths it. Personally, I loved Fendi... but thats whats going on when Karl is on business. Also really liked Moschino with that pin-up style, really lovely with black, pink and white in chiffon blouses. Not really excited about Gucci, Frida choose white and black multi-strapped dresses. I didnt like Roberto Cavalli or D&G at all... but thats just me. I like Just Cavalli better and the main line of Domenico and Stefano, Dolce&Gabbana who inspired their joyous presentations on lingerie. My favourite ones? Of course Prada, Versace.... and my rebel teen side fell in love with Dsquared2 -again- but they all deserved an entry apart.

Milán ha sido de locura, no se por donde empezar. No voy a hacer un enorme resumen, vedlo vosotros mismas porque realmente merece la pena. Personalmente, me encantó Fendi... pero eso es lo que pasa cuando Karl está en el negocio. También me gustó mucho Moschino con ese estilo pin-up, adorable las blusas de chiffon en blanco, negro y rosa. No estoy muy entusiasmada con Gucci, Frida eligió vestidos en blanco y negro con multi-tirantes. No me gustaron ni Roberto Cavalli ni D&G en absoluto, aunque es solo mi opinión. Me gustó más Just Cavalli y la línea principal de Domenico y Stefano, Dolce&Gabanna, que inspiraron sus presentaciones en la lencería. ¿Mis favoritos? Por supuesto Prada, Versace y mi lado de adolescente rebelde se enamoró de Dsquared2 -otra vez- pero todos ellos merecen una entrada aparte.

Fashion Week: Madrid

Delayed again, but here is my little review of our fashion week. My favourite ones were Ana Locking and Andrés Sardá. Ana stood out with a bright line called "Antídoto" -Antidote-, electric colours get mixed in defiant silhouettes. She has been doing origami with metallic lycra... just amazing. Sardá took us to Saint Tropez during the 70's but with the femininity of the 50's and as shameless as it was in the 80's. Stripes and XXL polka dots during the day, black and silver for the night. José Castro caused a sensation with a colorful collection and a defined look from the eightees aswell. We could see some oriental touches at Alianto and Alma Aguilar' shows. Alma played with pink -bubblegum pink- and bright blue. And speaking of playing, Anna and Macarena, El Delgado Buil, have been messing with flounces while Duyos did the same with flowers. Guillermina Baeza based her bikinis' collection on the happy 20's and finally Elio Berhanyer dedicated a part of his line to navy style! Lovely.

Con retraso otra vez, pero aquí está mi pequeño resumen de nuestra semana de la moda. Mis favoritos fueron Ana Locking y Andrés Sardá. Ana desctacó con una línea brillante, "Antídoto", colores eléctricos mezclandose en siluetas desafiantes. Ha estado haciendo papiroflexia con licra metálica... simplemente increíble. Sardá nos trasportó al Saint Tropez de los años 70 pero con la feminidad de los 50 y tan descarado como en los 80. Rayas y lunares XXL durante el día, negro y plata de noche. José Castro causó sensación con una colección muy colorida, también con aires ochenteros. Pudimos ver algunos toques orientales en los desfies de Alianto y Alma Aguilar, que juega con el rosa chicle y el azul brillante. Y hablando de jugar, Ana y Macarena, El Delgado Buil, han hecho lo propio con volantes mientras que Duyos lo hacía con flores. Guillermina Baeza basaba su colección de bikinis en los felices años 20 y finalmente Elio Berhanyer dedicaba una pequeña parte de su linea al estilo marinero. ¡Adorable!

PD: Me ha llegado mi actualización diaria de style.com con noticias de Paris! Así que mañana resumen de Milan e intentaré no retrasarme con Paris.
